President Trump impeached for the second time

US President, Donald Trump, has been impeached for a second time, charged by the House of Representatives with “incitement to insurrection” following the riots by his supporters last week, who stormed the Capitol in a bid to overthrow November`s presidential election result. Trump is being charged with inciting the violent behaviour through issuing false statements about the election result and ultimately encouraging the violence which lead to five deaths. Mr Trump is the first president in history to be impeached twice, with the article of impeachment soon to be sent to the Senate, where the result of a trial could prevent Trump from running for office again in the future.
